Damage Analysis of Box Girder Based on a Vehicle–Bridge Interaction System

This study proposes a stress analysis method of reinforced concrete (RC) box girder based on damage to reveal the dynamic mechanical response and mechanisms bridge under moving vehicle load. The effect different mass, speed, strength, longitudinal reinforcement ratio single is investigated using solid finite element vehicle–bridge interaction elastic–plastic (a total 13 kinds loading schemes) that Newmark algorithms numerical model five-axle road roughness. results status RC strongly depends mass speed. region gradually increases, changes from flexural flexural-shear damage, which fails rapidly as increases 10 t 60 t. With an increase in maximum vertical vibration displacement steel bar nonlinearly first then decreases. most severe occurs at speed 25 m/s for all masses. As result, limiting below (10 t) increasing strength certain range could reduce effectively.
